Which town in the South of France is better for a 6 month stay: Avignon or Aix-en-Provence? We plan to make several stops on the train thru Provence. Must the Eurorail pass be bought in the States?

I quit going there a long time ago, Fiji now, and I cannot for the life of me remember a good restaurant in that area.

I was going to suggest Eze between Nice and Monte Carlo. They have a great hotel and restaurant with a view of the ocean, and the village itself is gorgeous.

Sounds like you had a great time anyway.
