Visit France
yes, if the weather is clean, beaches are still ok, and late sept, weather is generally clement…
Everything will be just the same as it was in july and august…without tourists !
The pace will be slower and some seasonal shops may allready be closed, but the climate will be fine!
For those who don’t like the crowd, september is the good period to be there !
Think about the beaches of Ramatuelle (most famous are Club 55, Nikki Beach, …etc)
Browse through the old town of St-Tropez, and visit some other places around like Gassin, Ramatuelle, Port Grimaud…
I think the night clubs will still be open (VIP Room right on the old port is the most famous) Have fun !
The St.Tropez beaches will be just fine in September, provided the weather stays warm, and it often does here that time of the year. The best part? You’ll actually have room to spread your beach towel! Many visitors leave in late August. St.Tropez is still vibrant in September, so clubs, restaurants, beach lounges are still open if you’re interested.
September is one of my favorite time to hike in the region, along with Spring. You can circle all around the St.Tropez peninsula, or visit the protected capes to the south.
For a complete change of scenery, head into the Maures Mountains. Visit the old town of La Garde-Freinet and the ruins of its ancient fort. The town (still) has an authentic feel to it and plenty of good restaurants.
You could rent kayaks or small sail boats (2-people catamarans) to sail the bay of St.Tropez from the Centre Municipal de Voile at Les Issambres.
Les Voiles de St.Tropez begins on Sep 29th, with traditional and modern sail boats racing and embellishing the quay. Take a look at pictures of last year’s Voiles on azuralive.com if you’re curious about it. It’s a superb event.
And don’t forget to check with the tourist office for festivals in the area. There’s always a fun one going on somewhere.
Enjoy!
