    The resistance was mostly concentrated in the mountain range of the Cévennes, part of the Massif Central. The Cevennes are one of the legendary places in the history of the French Resistance, like the Plateau de Vercors in the East. Most information on the Cévennes on the Web is in French, or for tourists.
